Los Angeles, CA: November 16, 2016; the Los Angeles Leather Coalition will add the LA Bootblack Contest to Los Angeles Leather Pride Week 2017. “This is a key component in the leather community that has long been underserved in the Los Angeles area” stated Steven Carlisle, the 2017 LA Bootblack Contest Producer.
The 2017 LA Bootblack Contest starts at CONVERGENCE, Sunday, March 26 at the Bullet Bar with the community judging. On Friday, March 31 during THE ASSEMBLY, the judges will assess skills, crowd interaction, and stage presence. Saturday, April 1, the contestants and judges will meet for the interview portion; followed by the announcement of the winner of the 2017 LA Bootblack Contest during the 2017 Mr. Los Angeles Leather Contest.

The LA Bootblack Contest is open to all individuals in the Los Angeles area regardless of gender or sexual orientation. The winner can go on to compete in one of the national titles if they so choose and they meet the eligibility requirements for that contest.
