David Sanford aka Pup TeeToe is Mr. Sister Leather 2017. He has been an active member of the Los Angeles leather community for over two years. In this time, he has volunteered for the Los Angeles Leather Coalition at the 2016 leather pride event, the 2017 Christopher Street West leather contest and is the den daddy for the 2017 Mr. SoCal Leather contest. This was the first contest he competed for in January of 2016 and placed first runner up. He also was a volunteer for Erotic City in 2015 in the pup mosh area as well as other pup events throughout the city. He was the handler for Mr. Sister Leather 2016 at the Los Angeles Leather contest. In recent months, he has become a founding member of the rebooted Los Angeles Boys of Leather. He has marched in both the Long Beach and Palm Springs pride parades and has represented his title recently in both San Francisco and Phoenix.
David was born and raised in Fresno, California and has lived in the Los Angeles area since 1998. He’s a graduate of Edison High School and attended the University of California Santa Barbara. He has almost 20 years of experience in retail, having worked at both Tower Records and Borders Books and Music.
Outside activities include being a member the sober community for over 8.5 years, having volunteered time and service at various events. He has done this as his boy self and also as his drag alter ego Pinky Diamond. He has also given his time at the Los Angeles Pride Festival in the #SIZZLE area sponsored by the city of West Hollywood and the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center. He has also assisted in some fashion for the past six years at Best In Drag, an annual event held at the Orpheum Theater that raises money for Aid for AIDS, a program of the Alliance of Housing and Healing. He is also planning in partaking in the AIDS LifeCycle, an annual event that has riders travelling over 500 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles during a one week span in June.
David currently works at Macy’s and has done so for 4.5 years and is also a member of the store’s Employee Engagement Committee. He is happily married to his husband of over 23 years, Richard and together they take care of his mother Vicki. He’s a proud beta pup to his Alpha Tusk and his extended leather family who mainly reside in Tuscon and Phoenix Arizona.
